About GLD
Goldstick Lighting Design, Ltd. (GLD) is a full service firm specializing in architectural lighting. Karen Goldstick founded the firm in 1999 to apply the expertise she gained as a lighting designer in New York and London, working internationally, and as an in-house technical consultant to a custom lighting manufacturer. GLD provides high-quality, responsive service that results in creative yet practical and technically-sound lighting designs. The firm prides itself on the relationships it has built with a number of long-term clients completing over 500 projects in the last 20 years of practicing architectural lighting design.
Architectural projects include interior and exterior spaces for – academic facilities, airport, corporate headquarters, medical facilities, lobbies, multi-family buildings, parks, retail, religious institutions and hospitality spaces that have received awards from GE, New York Construction, Illuminating Engineering Society and the American Institute of Architects.
GLD, located in Westchester County, NY, is certified as a Women-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) by the New York State Empire State Development Corporation, School Construction Authority (SCA), NYC Small Business Services (SBS), Port Authority of NY and NJ, Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), City of Philadelphia Office of Economic Development and is a registered Small Diverse Business (SDB) by the Pennsylvania Department of General Services.

Karen Goldstick
Principal
She is a Parsons School of Design graduate, and has held senior positions at Horton Lees Lighting Design, Lighting Design Partnership in London and Flack + Kurtz Consulting Engineers as Director of Lighting. Karen has authored numerous articles on sports lighting and many of her projects have received architectural awards for design and energy conservation.
As Principal, Karen oversees every project at GLD and represents the firm and its design work with clientele. She is hands on with development of initial design concepts and review of final design prior to issuing construction documents.

Kalynn Amadio
Associate
She has extensive project management and design experience over the past 33 years for a variety of projects in all categories of construction. Included in that experience is design of K-12 and higher education facilities, corporate headquarters, hotels, airports and multi-family residences.
As an Associate Principal at GLD, Kalynn is responsible for collaborating on the design vision and direction of design efforts for the project during production phases. She is instrumental in creating design details and navigating technical coordination of project concepts including custom fixture design, lighting controls, circuiting and emergency lighting compliance. Kalynn also serves as our resident lighting engineer providing collaborative engineering support for the MEP team on a project-by-project basis.

Tyrell Lundman
Designer
Tyrell Lundman is Design Director at Goldstick Lighting Design, Ltd. He has a Master of Architecture degree from City College of New York (CUNY).
Ty has extensive project and design experience with GLD ranging from corporate interiors, academic facilities, custom fixture design, exterior lighting, hotels, multi-family highrises and community centers. Included is design and detail work for six multi-family and mixed use retail projects in the New York City area, retail spaces at the new LaGuardia Airport Central Terminal B, Chelsea Pier 60, academic auditoriums and corporate headquarters in the Westchester, NY and Fairfield, CT areas. He has also become instrumental in design and project management for GLD.
As a Design Director, Ty is active in design development, concept presentation, production and coordination with the architect and other design team members.

Elizabeth Graham
Designer
Elizabeth Graham graduated from the University of New Haven in 2016 with a B.A. in Interior Design. During the course of her four years there, she was a member of the university’s growing A.S.I.D. chapter, along with several other club affiliations.
In her final years at the university, she completed two internships with interior design firms. Liz joined our team soon after graduation and was elated to become a full time employee in September of 2016. She has project experience with GLD ranging from corporate interiors, airport, retail, exterior lighting, academic and multi-family high rises.
As a Designer at GLD, she is instrumental in design development, production and coordination with architects and other design team members. Liz manages lighting manufacturer product resources and continuing education efforts for GLD staff. She is integral to ongoing management of projects during the construction process until final punch list is issued.

Services related to lighting controls vary per project based on the engineering team’s involvement. While GLD provides a control intent document for all spaces that the engineering team can implement independently, GLD can implement the control system for the project by adding the following services during design development and contract document stages:
